The Philippines’ Michelin Guide Is Getting Bigger
The Michelin Guide is back for its second edition in the Philippines, and the country’s dining scene is giving food lovers plenty to talk about.
Announced on 29 October 2026, the MICHELIN Guide Manila and Environs & Cebu 2027 selection features 127 establishments across Manila, Cebu, Pampanga and Cavite. That’s an increase from the 108 establishments recognised in the inaugural 2026 edition.
The latest selection includes 10 Michelin-starred restaurants, 31 Bib Gourmand establishments and 86 Michelin-Selected restaurants. For anyone living in the Philippines, it’s a handy starting point for discovering restaurants that go beyond the usual dining recommendations.
The biggest takeaway? Filipino cuisine is taking centre stage. Restaurants are showcasing local ingredients, regional cooking traditions and creative interpretations of familiar flavours.

More Michelin-Recognised Restaurants to Add to Your Food Bucket List
Not every memorable meal needs to come with a Michelin Star. The guide also recognises restaurants through its Bib Gourmand and Michelin-Selected categories, making it easier to discover different dining experiences across the Philippines.
Bib Gourmand: Great Food Without the Fine-Dining Price Tag
The Bib Gourmand distinction highlights restaurants offering good-quality cooking at moderate prices. It’s particularly useful for expats who want to explore the local food scene without making every restaurant visit a special-occasion expense.
The 2027 selection features 31 Bib Gourmand restaurants, including eight new entries and two establishments promoted from the Michelin-Selected category.
Some of the new additions worth knowing about include:
- Apag Marangle – Pampanga: A restaurant bringing regional Filipino flavours into the spotlight.
- Azela – Manila: A new addition to the guide’s Manila selection.
- Balay Dako – Cavite: A dining destination in Tagaytay known for its Filipino food.
- Bawai’s Vietnamese Kitchen – Cavite: A Vietnamese restaurant recognised for its cooking.
