After more than a decade, BIGBANG is officially heading back to the Philippines.
YG Entertainment confirmed that Manila has been added to the group’s 20th Anniversary World Tour, “XX: COSMOS”, with a concert scheduled for 20 February 2027 at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Parañaque. The announcement came after an updated tour schedule revealed the Philippine capital as an additional stop alongside two newly added shows in Oakland, California.
The Manila concert will be BIGBANG’s first group performance in the country since July 2015, when the original five-member line-up performed at the Mall of Asia Arena during the “MADE” World Tour. Since then, the group has gone through major changes, including a lengthy hiatus and the departure of former members Seungri and T.O.P.
BIGBANG began its hiatus after the “Last Dance” tour ended in December 2017, while members completed their mandatory military service and pursued individual projects. Seungri left the group and retired from the entertainment industry in 2019 following legal controversies, while T.O.P departed in 2023.
Despite those changes, G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung reunited earlier this year for a performance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, where they also announced plans for the anniversary tour.
Tour Celebrates Two Decades of BIGBANG
The “XX: COSMOS” tour marks BIGBANG’s 20th anniversary and will feature 32 shows across 18 cities in North America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia. The Manila date will take place just one week before the tour concludes in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
In a statement released when the comeback was announced, YG Entertainment’s chief executive producer Yang Hyun Suk said,
“Since we’ve worked together for such a long time, I don’t think there will be any difficulties… All YG staff will do their best to create a perfect and outstanding performance.”
For Filipino fans, the announcement ends years of speculation about whether the group would perform together in the country again. Although Taeyang and G-Dragon visited Manila separately last year for their solo tours, many fans have been waiting for a full-group appearance.

BIGBANG remains one of the most influential acts in K-pop history. Since debuting in 2006, the group has sold more than 140 million records worldwide and released hits including “BANG BANG BANG,” “Fantastic Baby,” “Good Boy,” “We Like 2 Party,” and “Still Life.” Their music has played a significant role in bringing K-pop to international audiences, earning them the long-standing nickname “Kings of K-Pop.”
The choice of the SMDC Festival Grounds is also notable. The venue is better known for large-scale outdoor events and festivals, making BIGBANG one of the first major K-pop groups to stage a concert there.
Ticket details have not yet been announced, but the addition of Manila to the itinerary has already generated strong interest online. For many Filipino fans, the concert represents more than a tour stop—it is a reunion with a group that helped shape an entire era of K-pop.
And after waiting since 2015, it is safe to say that plenty of VIPs are already counting down the days to 20 February 2027.
