The Philippines has a new international beauty queen to celebrate after Katrina Llegado was crowned Miss Supranational 2026 during the pageant’s grand final held on 31 July at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheatre in Nowy Sącz, Poland.
The 17th edition of Miss Supranational welcomed 67 contestants from around the world, all competing under this year’s theme, “Festival of Beauty.” At the end of the evening, Brazil’s Eduarda Braum, who won the title in 2025, passed the crown to her successor as Katrina officially became the newest Miss Supranational.
The victory marks a significant moment for the Philippines, which last won the international pageant in 2013, when Mutya Johanna Datul made history as the country’s first Miss Supranational titleholder. Katrina’s win ends a 13-year wait and makes her the second Filipina to wear the crown. She is also the first winner to receive the newly introduced Fioletowa Crown, adding another milestone to this year’s competition.

A Journey Built on Determination
Katrina’s pageant career has been shaped by years of perseverance and steady progress. Long before claiming the Miss Supranational crown, she was already a familiar face in Philippine pageantry.
Her journey began with a Top Five finish at Mutya ng Taguig 2018 before competing in Miss World Philippines 2019, where she earned the title of Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2019. She later represented the Philippines at Reina Hispanoamericana 2019, finishing as fifth runner-up.
She continued chasing her dream through Miss Universe Philippines, placing as second runner-up in 2022 before returning in 2025, where she finished in the Top 6. Following the competition, Katrina was appointed to represent the Philippines at Miss Supranational 2026, a decision that ultimately led to her biggest international achievement so far.
Her victory also places her among the country’s current international titleholders. Katrina now reigns alongside Emma Mary Tiglao, who currently holds the Miss Grand International crown, giving Filipino pageant fans another reason to celebrate.
Away from the stage, Katrina has built an impressive career beyond beauty competitions. The 28-year-old graduated cum laude with a degree in Financial Management from De La Salle University in 2018. She also serves as a Philippine Air Force Military Reservist and has worked as a marketing and public relations consultant for the City Government of Taguig.
