Viral Video Shows Woman Chasing Dogs That Run into Traffic in Philippines

Share:

Motorists along MIA Road in Pasay City found themselves in the middle of an unexpected rescue operation on Wednesday, 2 September, when two runaway dogs darted into oncoming traffic. The pair, later identified as Joe, a male Pomeranian, and Sethie, a female Pug, had managed to slip away after the lock on their enclosure broke.

Footage captured by nursing student Lianne shows the adventurous duo sprinting along the busy roadway, closely pursued by a woman attempting to catch up with them.

As the scene unfolded, passing drivers and motorcycle riders stepped in to assist. One driver went so far as to park his vehicle mid-route and hop out to join the pursuit on foot, helping to slow the animals down and prevent a potential accident.

A Team Effort Brings Joe and Sethie Safely Home

The chase lasted nearly two minutes before the dogs ran towards a nearby group of students, who managed to corner and secure them safely.

Local outlet The Bulletin Post confirmed that the pets belong to John Carlo and Jhen Celeste, who were relieved to learn that neither animal suffered injuries during their short-lived escape.

Several motorists and motorcycle riders also joined the effort, with one man even getting out of his vehicle to help.

After nearly two minutes of chasing, the dogs eventually ran toward a group of students, who managed to catch them and keep them safe.
