The Peninsula Manila has been recognised among the world’s leading hospitality properties after securing a place on Travel + Leisure’s list of the Top 100 Hotels in the World.
The hotel ranked 25th globally and fifth among the Top 15 Asia City Hotels, making it the only property in the Philippines to appear on both lists.
The rankings were based on Travel + Leisure’s annual reader survey, which asks travellers to evaluate their experiences at hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise ships, spas, airlines and other travel-related services around the world.

Among World’s Top Hotels in Travel + Leisure Rankings
The recognition comes as The Peninsula Manila marks its 45th anniversary, a milestone reached during a period of continuing challenges for the global hospitality industry.
“Everyone in the hotel is so delighted that we have received this prestigious accolade, especially when we are celebrating our 45th anniversary this September amid these challenging times for our industry,” said Masahisa Oba, General Manager of The Peninsula Manila.
Oba said the hotel’s history has been shaped by its ability to adapt and respond to changing circumstances.
“Throughout the 45-year history of The Peninsula Manila, we have weathered many highs and lows. It has been a continued exercise in resilience, agility, and constant concern for the safety and security of our guests and our employees,” he said.
“I am confident our continued commitments, coupled with our strong legacy and exceptional heritage will enable us to emerge stronger.”
The recognition adds to the hotel’s international profile and highlights the continued appeal of Philippine hospitality among global travellers. It also reflects positive feedback from readers who rated travel experiences across various destinations and accommodation categories worldwide.
